Howe Names Unchanged Side At Brighton

As it stands, Newcastle are fourth in league table holding onto a Champions League place by just 2 points over Forest and Villa. Today’s match at Brighton could have massive implications by season’s end.

Newcastle must at least gain a point to ensure their continued place in the top five with Forest and Chelsea still to play. A victory could be monumental and thrust the Magpies back to third and a five point cushion over Villa.

As expected, Eddie Howe has named an unchanged team from the win over Ipswich.

Here is who Seagulls boss Fabian Hurzeler has selected for the visitors.

Howay The Lads!

Barnes has been great since he moved to the right side really putting in some class crosses

Penalty or not that’s more what we need to see from Willock bursting into the box

Unfortunately correct decision as that was clearly not a penalty.

From what I’ve seen, somehow Gordon has to be starting.

This “somehow” is only this way: Barnes right, Gordon left. And vice versa.

Anyway, whatever happens here there’s still plenty of fight in us and we’re in a good position compared to Chelsea, forest and villa.

    @Cyprus

I have seen enough to think that Barnes could do with a little spell playing on the right

Murphy does look like he is running out of steam whereas Barnes looks full of confidence at the moment

Although that terrible shot from Gordon shows why Barnes is currently offering more from the left as his shooting is so much better

Goaway Runaway and support another club

it’s away to Brighton and we’ve been the better team in a tight game with little chances

Go and support Barca, PSG or lpool if you want guaranteed wins every game

We’ve lost the momentum after Willock went off

Wilson was not the sub to bring on should’ve been Osula or Miley
