West Ham: No Excuses

Calling games a 'must win' is bit of a cliche as we want the Toon to win every game.
So I'm calling the match at West Ham a 'no excuses' game because there is no way that we shouldn't come away with three points - whatever team Eddie Howe puts out.
Previous reasons/excuses for an iffy start to the season have included injuries to Wissa, last minute goals conceded, Woltemade not starting until the Wolves game, players fatigued by international duty, and penalty decisions that went against us.
Not one of those excuses, or any others, will be acceptable if the Lads don't beat a very poor West Ham team who are second bottom, losing games without a whimper and have already conceded 20 goals.
These are the games that the top teams very rarely lose - and we don't want to be on the wrong end of one those rare occasions.
West Ham have to win again sometime but it can't, and must not, be on Sunday.
The Prem looks very open this season
Other than Arsenal no team is looking like consistently winning games.
Liverpool, City and Chelsea aren't showing top form, Villa started poorly but have a bit of momentum and because of that Bournemouth and the team down the road occupy two of the top four spots.
Even Man U are managing to win - says it all really.
So, the game against West Ham gives us the chance to launch our attack on the top four and the opportunity to give our GD a boost.
I'm expecting Eddie to put his strongest team out after his eight changes against Spurs midweek.
My customary fiver is going on a 3-0 win to the Toon and after trousering the winnings from my 2-0 win bet against Spurs I'm expecting my bank balance to be bulging at the final whistle on Sunday.
Again, no excuses accepted for anything but a win against West Ham.

@JfA "t'll be shite supporting Jormany at the WC"
If Sweden get there, I'm not supporting them
Starting to worry about Wissa and his extended absence through injury?
Why not take a look at Colin's thoughts on the next thread...
Pottsclock,
If you cast back Nuno had far from a spectacular start at Forest, I was thinking wtf did they get rid of Cooper just to bring this in, but fair play to him he turned them right around. But I'm hoping it takes him just as long to turn West Ham around if at all.

It'll be shite supporting Jormany at the WC 😕
Nice little article where Eddie talks about Woltemade and Thiaw
