Eddie's Spurs Presser: Wissa & Other Injury Updates

Yoane Wissa played in an 11v11 training ground match with a young group of players over the weekend and Eddie Howe plans another run out game for him this week.
This is what Eddie had to say on Wissa's progress and return date...
“I've given so many different dates, I've got no idea. There's been no change, he's working back, he's doing well, everything's positive, but he will be back involved when we think he's able to contribute to the group, and has a minimal chance of re-injury.
“Whenever he comes back, I'm sure from his perspective, and of course from our perspective, that first goal will be important.
But I don't want to put too much pressure on him, he's still a little bit away from that, he's got some more work to do, hopefully he comes through that, and then we can see him back on the pitch.”
"No idea" on a come back date is an odd statement from Eddie and suggests that he is hedging his bets in case Wissa suffers a set back - which unfortunately is always a possibility after a knee injury.
Let's hope that doesn't happen as we really need Yoane back - especially as there is a possibility the club might look to cash in on Osula in January.
Also out with injuries at Everton were Nick Pope, Sven Botman, Kieran Trippier, Emil Krafth and William Osula and Eddie confirmed there are no new injuries for Spurs.
Krafth is the one available tomorrow from the injured five and, on Botman, Eddie had this to say...
“With Sven he's going to see a specialist in the next couple of days, just to get a sort of definitive opinion whether he needs an injection or whether he's able to rest for a few days and then resume training, so we'll wait and see.”
The 'in out' recent situation with Botman on his fitness to play continues which means Eddie has an easy decision to keep playing Dan Burn.
Big changes unlikely for Spurs
A combination of injuries and Eddie saying on the Everton performance "It wasn't the biggest game in terms of load, so yeah, the lads are okay.” suggest that any changes to the starting 11 will be minor.
Bruno to get a rest with Miley playing again might be one change or Sandro Tonali stepping back into the usual mid three another.
So - there is your head's up for Eddie's Bingo and I'm expecting full house shouts all round to bring the recent blanks to an end.
Get your Spurs team in on the link below before 6pm tomorrow.

Wissa not going to AFCON means the manager might not have to hold him back as long now, which would be a bonus.
Match day. Let's hope we can keep the positivity of the last few days going with another win.
