Newcastle Under-21s Make It Four Wins in a Row

Newcastle United's Under-21 side continued their impressive recent form with a 2–0 victory over Peterborough United in the Premier League Cup on Friday evening.

The result extended the young Magpies' winning sequence to four matches in all competitions, following their Premier League 2 victory over Sunderland earlier in the week.

It is an encouraging run for Newcastle's academy at a time when attention is understandably focused on the senior team's inconsistent performances.

With the club placing increasing emphasis on recruitment and developing young talent, results like these offer a positive sign for the future.
