Osula Out For At Least A Couple Of Weeks

What a surprise...

Not.

I noticed he was limping after he had that chance midway through the first half and he was still limping 10 minutes after - I was saying "he needs to come off" so many times that my wife told me to belt up.

You can normally run a knock off in less than five minutes and I was amazed he came out for the second half, only to then be subbed not long after when he wasn't able to continue.

If Osula couldn't run off whatever it was after c15 minutes, and any treatment at HT, the risk was he would only make it worse.

And so it turns out.

What is also baffling is that the bench didn't instruct Osula to go down so that the injury could be assessed. It wasn't a good decision all round.

We've all been singing MJ's praises but Osula should have been subbed way before half time.

Now, Wissa after a cracking game as a 10, will have to play as a ST.

He can't be risked against West Brom so young Neave may well get his chance.

Willock was another who stayed on too long against Strasbourg when he was feeling an injury and, although he was expected to miss a couple of weeks, he was in the squad against Liverpool.

Woltemade or Ramsey may now get a start against Spurs unless a very quick signing is ready to make their debut.

LATEST ON PARDO: The Athletic say Newcastle are not expecting to complete a deal.

It always worries me when they say "We don't think it's too serious". Said that about Dan Burn but according to premierinjuries.com

he's out until mid October.

While I think that we have to approach this game with serious intent, the Spurs game, imo, is more important. So I won’t be bothered if we rest some key players.

The injury curse strikes again, he had a great game against Liverpool, why is it's always our most important players that suffer, can't think of any one to take his place. All I can suggest is barnes up front with wissa and that new lad on the left wing, he's rapid and can cross a good ball. ( spurs game )

Obviously the bias towards our team by referees continues. Cheated again! You would think that PSR punishes us enough, that the cartel would be okay without referee bias. Guess not.
