This is the first close season since Ed's original blog was reborn and I expected posts and page views to go way down - but they haven't.
We are still running at 600-800 page views a day and we've got plenty of transfer rumours and the World Cup to keep us all interested until the new season kicks off.
So... a big thanks to all.
Knowledgeable fans, great banter & good manners...
After Ed sadly became ill and passed away the original blog unfortunately became somewhat of a free for all as constant spats, mud slinging and trolls took over.
My prime aim on being passed the baton by Ed's son Neil was to get the blog back to one that befitted Ed's memory and the great meeting place that he created for Toon fans worldwide.
However, that was an aim that relied entirely on YOU recreating that great meeting place and from the first day of the rebirth the members, posters and visiting guests have been a credit to Ed.
We have knowledgeable and regular posters, debate and discussions that are conducted in good spirit and with good manners , even when opinions differ, and a total absence of spats, swearing, mud slinging and politics.
It's a blog you'd be happy to let your Toon loving granny read :)
Trolls and anyone who doesn't adhere to the community atmosphere we have created are ignored, laughed at, comments deleted ASAP and blocked.

World Cup Competition - Interested?
Ronway has suggested we have a competition to forecast England's scores and scorers - let me know below if you are interested.
