7 Away Games Without A Win

Newcastle United take on West Ham at The London Stadium at 2pm today having failed to win in their last seven Premier League away matches and failing to score in four of those games.
The Toon have drawn four and lost three of the those games, a run that stretches back to the 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa on 19 April.
Since his appointment on 27th September, after the sacking of Graham Potter, new West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has yet to win with only 1pt to his name so far.
That continues the awful start to the season for a West Ham side that have lost seven of their nine games and, with just 4pts, are in a relegation place 2nd from bottom.
Rumblings about Nuno among fans have already started and the atmosphere will be toxic at The London Stadium if West Ham fall behind, especially early in the game.
Any NUFC starting side must add to Nuno's pain
I make no excuses for repeating that this a 'no excuses' must win game for the Lads.
Seven away games without a win is lower table form at best and a draw or defeat this afternoon is an absolute 'no no' if we are to start a serious launch on the top six.
We must win, simple as.
The momentum built up on the back of the Benfica, Fulham and Spurs wins will be well and truly bunkered if West Ham aren't sent to an eighth defeat of the season.
Start on the front foot, score an early goal, get their fans howling for blood and there is every chance of coming away with a 3 or 4-0 win and boosting our +1 goal difference.
After three wins on the bounce and eight changes in mid week Eddie Howe has a squad that should be brimming with confidence, itching to get out and strut their stuff and able to carve through a defence that has already leaked 20 goals in 9 league games.
My usual fiver is going on a 3-0 win but I'll happily let the bookies keep it as long as we win - whatever the score.
LNER Stabbing Incident: a train that may well have been carrying Toon supporters to London for today's game suffered a knife attack last night that has left two people with life threatening injuries and with a further four hospital.
I'm sure we will hope that whoever has been injured will respond well to medical treatment and that no fatalities occur from this despicable attack.
LNER issued a do not travel warning which may affect the travelling Toon army and their attendance at today's game.

Ntbt,
I blame the green shirt 😠
It's most likely to do with so many games. You need to run around and get stuck in, and some games are motivation in and of themselves, and some, like this one, are not. They were the better side on the day, despite clearly not being the better group of players, and of course at home. Not an excuse of course, but certainly it's a problem that all clubs with the added games of Europe, particularly CL, must deal with.
That is honestly the worst performance I can remember under Howe, at least in a game we were expected to win.
At least the lasses won comfortably https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRbmcdk0sio
