NEWSFEED: Newcastle United Confirm Remembrance Tributes at St James' Park
Newcastle United have confirmed plans to honour fallen servicemen and women ahead of Monday evening's Premier League fixture against Everton at St James' Park.
Representatives of the British Army, Royal Navy and RAF will join both teams on the pitch, with wreaths laid in the centre circle before a minute's silence accompanied by The Last Post.
Supporters are encouraged to take their seats early, while fan group Wor Flags has organised a special remembrance display in the East Stand.
Newcastle players will also wear commemorative poppy shirts, which will subsequently be auctioned to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
In a particularly thoughtful gesture, the club will provide a dedicated matchday space for local veterans living with PTSD.
The commemorations recognise those who have sacrificed their lives in military service, including 23 former Newcastle United players who died during the two World Wars.
