NEWSFEED: Will Osula Injury: How Long Could Newcastle United Striker Be Out?

William Osula's return date is currently unknown, although Newcastle are hoping his latest ankle injury isn't serious.

He twisted his ankle during Newcastle's 3–1 Carabao Cup defeat at Everton on Thursday, 29 October, and was substituted at half-time.

Manager Matthias Jaissle was asked whether Osula could recover for Monday night's Premier League match against Everton. He replied that it was too early to say.

How long could he be out?

  • Best case: A minor twist could mean missing only a few days.

  • Moderate sprain: Potentially 2–4 weeks.

  • More serious injury: Six weeks or longer.

Those are general recovery estimates, not a medical assessment of Osula's injury.

The concern is that he's only just returned from approximately two months out with a previous foot injury.

My assessment: I wouldn't assume he'll be available against Everton tomorrow.

However, there's currently no confirmation that he'll miss several weeks. The club needs to assess the extent of the damage first.
