Pardo Gets The Striker Nod In The Leeds Bingo
There are still plenty of Bingo boys and gals still to enter the full house comp for the Leeds game but new guy Pardo starting as a the main ST is being marked down by most of those who have entered so far.
Running At Pace & Swerving Defenders
...Get Players & Fans Dribbling
That's what young Pardo's game is all about and if he gets up to speed on his form as quickly as he does over the grass then we might have a real ST on our hands.
There's nowt in a game other than a goal that gets fans on their feet, and dribbling, more than a player running with trickery past the oppo or racing away from defenders on a through ball.
Isak could do that and wor MFP might just be the player to giver us that threat again.
Players like Isak can change a game in a second, pull a goal out of nothing, and turn constant oppo pressure into a quick break and a stunning goal for the Toon.
We may not like to talk about our now gone ST but no fan would deny that if we had a player anywhere near as good our prospects for the season would rise sharply.
Tha's why we all waiting to see how Pardo performs when he starts and gets a few games under his belt.
The lad wants to play as the main ST and Jezza has told him that's the position he was bought for... Mtachmakers couldn't have brought together two better partners.
So... will Pardo get the start most seem to want at Leeds?
I think he will and if Wissa gets the nod at 10 I think that could be a potentially devastating combo for teams to handle.
One thing is for sure...
Us Toon fans have got plenty to look forward to as the games roll up.
My prediction is that once Jaissle works out the best players for the positions in his 4231 we'll be a real force to be reckoned with.
And on predictions...
The bookies have already pulled the Toon's odds for a top six finish in from 12/1 to 10/1.
I've put £50 on that because I reckon those odds won't last long.
Do you think Pardo will start against Leeds on Monday?

See the yellow cards since the gunners scored. Dirty team. Always playing rough and trying to
Intimidate the opposition.
I watched the Spurs Everton game and honestly Spurs were dreadful. It's difficult to understand with all the talent they've bought how bad they are - it has to be De Zerbi - I wonder how many games they'll give before he gets the boot??
Arteta is not the new Pep, he's the new Simeone.
If you want to challenge Arsenal you really need to man-mark Ødegaard - everything goes through him.
Cracking shot from Bruno.
If it takes an ex-Geordie to put the Mackems where they should be, so be it !
